    The main new feature in Version 3.0 is the ability for users to host video and audio calls with others.  This feature is currently available to users for free, but certain parts may become a premium feature in the future.

    [:de]Hallo Pals und willkommen zu unserem neuen Blog, der sich hauptsächlich rund ums Sprachenlernen und Freunde kennenlernen drehen wird. Dazu werden wir auch gerne eure Erfahrungen mit der App und Chat-Partnern mit einbauen und austauschen.

    Eine kurze Zusammenfassung

    Die App gibt es bereits seit einer geraumen Zeit und Hello Pal konnte sich stetig in den letzten Wochen über neue sprachbegeisterte Pals freuen. Erst vor kurzem wurden Video und Telefonchat- Funktionen in die App eingebaut, um die Wege der Kommunikation im Chat zu erweitern. Es wird sich noch zeigen, wie gut oder schlecht diese Funktionen zum Sprachenlernen beitragen können. Durch unseren neuen Blog wollen wir enger mit unseren Pals kommunizieren, um Sprachenlernen weiterhin so unkompliziert wie möglich zu gestalten. Natürlich und vor allem auch, um eure Erfahrungen mit Hello Pal, Meinungen, Verbesserungsvorschläge und Anregungen auszutauschen und zu teilen. Wir werden so oft, wie es uns möglich ist, unseren Blog aktualisieren und hoffen, dass ihr euch uns anschließt, den Blog interessant zu gestalten!

    Wir versuchen durch häufige Aktualisierungen die Benutzeroberfläche so handlich wie möglich zu halten. Die Meinungen von Nutzern gehen dabei manchmal in ganz unterschiedliche Richtungen. Wir erhielten Meldungen von Nutzern, die schlechte Erfahrungen im Finden von geeigneten Sprachlernpartnern oder mit Belästigungen durch andere hatten. Dann gab es aber auch solche, die keine Probleme hatten und direkt drauf losgechattet haben. Was aber definitiv stört sind Pals mit falschen Infos auf ihren Profilen oder Stalker, die wir konstant versuchen herauszufiltern und zu sperren!

    Welche Erfahrungen habt ihr bei euren ersten Gehversuchen mit anderen Pals gemacht habt?

    Warum Sprachbarrieren abbauen so wichtig ist.

    Hello Pal verspricht Sprachbarrieren abschaffen zu wollen. Warum das wichtig ist liegt auf der Hand! Durch verringern von Sprachbarrieren werden auch kulturelle Barrieren abgebaut. Ein gutes Beispiel hierfür sind Schüler in Köln, die ihre Freizeit nutzen, um syrischen Migranten Deutsch zu unterrichten. Eine neue Sprache lernen erweist sich in vielen weiteren Bereichen als nützlich:

    • Fremdsprachen lernen hält den Kopf fit und verbessert das Gedächtnis:

    Die erhöhte Gehirnaktivität, die durch regelmäßiges Sprachenlernen entsteht (genauer wiederholen, konzentrieren und kurzeitiges merken von Informationen), wurde erst kürzlich untersucht und als Demenzhemmend identifiziert. Eine Studie zeigte, 46% der Probanden, die zweisprachig waren, besaßen ein geringeres Risiko für Demenz. Ebenfalls interessant ist, dass Neurowissenschaften bestätigen: Wer eine neue Sprache erfolgreich erlernt kann jede weitere Fremdsprache einfach meistern.

    • Fremdsprachen eröffnen ganz neue Karriereperspektiven:

    In 2016 suchen Arbeitgeber gezielt nach Fachpersonal mit Fremdsprachenfähigkeiten, um steigenden Bedarf an globalen Geschäften durch ihre Fachkräfte zu decken. Dies eröffnet neue Jobfelder und ermöglicht, durch Fremdsprachenfähigkeiten, im Ausland zu arbeiten und zu leben. Motivation zum Erlernen einer weiteren Sprache sollte auch die Tatsache sein, dass durch Studien ein höheres Durchschnittsgehalt für Arbeitnehmer, die Fremdsprachen im Job anwenden, nachgewiesen wurde.

    • Durch Fremdsprachen lernen in fremde Kulturen eintauchen und neue Freunde finden:

    Lernen einer Sprache weckt natürlich auch die Lust zum Reisen in ein Land, wo diese Sprache gesprochen wird und zum Kommunizieren mit Einheimischen. Das hat sich häufig schon als sehr praktisch herausgestellt, beim Fragen nach Wegen oder nach gutem Essen. Freunde vor Ort zu haben kann ebenfalls vorteilhaft sein, um eine günstige Unterkunft oder andere Annehmlichkeiten zu genießen. Zumindest Kenntnisse in Englisch sind in vielen Ländern hilfreich, wenn auch nicht überall. Das wird auch von einer steigenden Zahl von Sprachlernern in Deutschland bestätigt, so sind Anteile von Personen ohne oder mit geringen Englischkenntnissen in der Bevölkerung in den letzten Jahren gesunken. Der Anteil an deutschen die keine Fremdsprache verstehen und sprechen können liegt bei 30%.

    • Fremdsprachen lernen fördert offenere und tolerantere Weltanschauungen:

    Internationale Freundschaften zu pflegen bedeutet sehr viel Spaß und Freude. Aber neue Freunde auf Reisen oder längeren Aufenthalten im Ausland finden sich fast ausschließlich nur durch Fremdsprachenfähigkeiten. Auch scheint es nur fair zu sein, einer Kultur oder Gemeinde respektvoll entgegen zu treten durch ein Paar Sätze in der Landessprache. Dadurch entstehen viele spannende Gespräche, die auch schon mal in Kommunikation mit Händen und Füßen enden können, wenn einem das Arsenal an Worten ausgeht. Die perspektiven auf das Leben selbst, die dadurch entstehen, sind meist unbezahlbar. Immer mehr Leute versuchen sich mit fremden Kulturen auseinanderzusetzen, das zeigen steigende Zahlen von Backpackern, Expats und Reisenden. Hello Pal kann sicherlich dabei helfen, mit Sätzen aus alltäglichen Situationen in unseren Sprachführern.

    Wie gut kommt ihr mit euren Fremdsprachenkenntnissen in anderen Ländern voran?

    Sprachfähigkeiten durch Tandem-Partner verbessern

    Die Vorteile von Fremdsprachenfähigkeiten zu kennen ist sicherlich wichtig, es bleibt aber die Frage nach dem wie lerne ich am besten und effektivsten? Jeder hat andere Wege sich an einer Sprache zu probieren und diese anzuwenden. Aber gibt es wirklich Methoden, die man verallgemeinern kann, ohne jemanden gleich zu viele Regeln aufzudrängen?

    Hello Pal setzt auf scheinbar einfache Methoden, um dies umzusetzen. Hauptsächlich durch Wiederholungen und dem Aufbau von Verständnis wird die grundlegende Sprache im Kopf verfestigt. Der Tandempartner und die Sprachführer helfen mit Modifizierungen/Erweiterungen in Vokabular und Grammatik, die Sprachfähigkeiten zu steigern. Letztendlich sollen Wiederholungen und freie Themenwahl mit dem Pal eine gewisse Kompetenz aufbauen. Die Motivation kommt dabei von den Tandempartnern (Pals) im gegenseitigen Chatten. Die meisten Ratgeber zum Thema lernen einer Sprache deuten auf ähnliche Methoden hin. So ist wiederholen und häufige Anwendung extrem relevant, genauso wie sich der Sprache aussetzen mittels Sprachpartnern. Tandem-Partner können eine ideale Motivation sein eine Sprache zu lernen und gleichzeitig seine eigene zu unterrichten. Da Motivation häufig schwankt, wird empfohlen sich auch neue Anreize zum Lernen zu suchen. Eine willkommene Abwechslung zum Chatten bieten z.B. eine Reise, um die Sprache zu vertiefen, oder die Spielfunktion in Hello Pal.

    Dr. Wong possesses over 20 years of fund management and investment banking experience. He has held senior positions with a number of premier international investment banks including as Managing Director, Capital Markets of BNP Paribas Peregrine. Dr. Wong founded E2-Capital Group and served as its Chairman and CEO from 2000 to 2008. E2-Capital Group is a financial services group specializing in investing, researching and providing fund raising services for small to middle market capitalized companies listed on Hong Kong and Singapore Stock Exchanges. In April 2008, E2-Capital Group was sold to Citic International Asset Management, the asset management arm of CITIC Group of Beijing.

    Between May 2001 and May 2007 Dr. Wong was President and Chief Investment Officer of Softbank China Venture Investments Limited (“SCVI”). During that time, SCVI was managing a closed end fund focusing on private equity and listed investments in Greater China Region. Between May 2001 and Nov 2003, while SCVI was part of Softbank Corp in Japan, he also assisted Softbank Corp and Softbank Investments in managing approximately
    US$500m worth of investments in Greater China Region as the President of Softbank Investment.

    Dr. Wong also served as Non-Executive Chairman of Westminster Travel Limited and SBI E2-Capital Holdings Limited, both of which were listed on Singapore Exchange Limited, Non-Executive Director of CSI Properties Limited, China.com Inc. and China Zenith Chemical Limited, all three being companies listed on Hong Kong Stock Exchange, as well as Non-Executive Director of CDC Software Corporation Inc., a company listed on NASDAQ
    market in the USA and Non-Executive Director of Intelligent Edge Berhad, a company listed on BURSA Malaysia Stock Exchange.

    Mr. Koh previously served as Chairman to Pan Asia Mining Ltd. (HK: 8173), and its subsidiary, Blacksand Enterprise Ltd. In addition, he has held director and/or officer positions at several other publicly-traded companies listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange including Chairman of China Railway Logistics Limited (HK: 8089), CEO and Executive Director of M Dream Inworld Limited (HK: 8100), and Vice President of First Pacific Company Limited (HKEx: 142, ADRs: FPAFY).

    Kou will help the Company lead the development of major new features and products, enabling the Company to address the social, language learning and travel sectors in a more direct and effective manner. Kou graduated with a degree in computer science and technology from Shanghai Jiaotong University, one of the most prestigious universities in China, and has worked for over 18 years in the I.T. industry. His experience ranges from app development, system architecture design and programming to project management and product design, and includes 8 years working at Huawei Technologies as Chief Architect of several key product lines.

    Management Provides Corporate Update

    Vancouver, British Columbia: Hello Pal International Inc. (the “Company”) is pleased to report a successful launch of the Company on the Canadian Securities Exchange. In conjunction with this launch the Company closed an oversubscribed financing for gross proceeds of $1,800,000. This financing was originally announced at $1,000,000 but due to strong investor demand was increased.

    The Company’s key asset is Hello Pal, a mobile app which allows users to find and easily communicate with people globally, was conceived and developed by KL Wong, the Company’s CEO. As a Malaysian-born, British-educated entrepreneur who spent many years working in Hong Kong and Mainland China, KL Wong will use his previous successes in building other technology related projects in North America and Asia to continue the growth of the Hello Pal app.

    “After the successful launch on the Canadian Securities Exchange, we have assembled an experienced core team that will allow us to leverage their technology and infrastructure content experience,” Wong said.  “Given the international nature of the Hello Pal app, the Company is building an international team with members spread across Europe, North America, Asia and Latin America.”

    Hello Pal was launched on Android a year ago and on iOS half a year later.     May 13, 2016 – Vancouver, British Columbia.  HELLO PAL INTERNATIONAL INC. (the “Company”) (CSE: HP) is pleased to announce that it completed its acquisitions (the “Transaction”) of the Hello Pal Software Application (the “HPI Platform”) pursuant to the terms of an asset purchase agreement dated February 29, 2016 (the “Definitive Agreement”) with Hello Pal International, Inc. (“HPI”).  The Company also completed a private placement financing by issuing a total of 12,000,000 post-consolidation shares at a price of $0.15 per share for gross proceeds of $1,800,000.  As part of the Transaction, the Canadian Securities Exchange (the “CSE”) accepted the listing of common shares of the Company under the symbol “HP”.

    Acquisition of the HPI Platform

    Under the Definitive Agreement, the Company acquired the HPI Platform from HPI for 25,000,000 post-consolidation common shares of the Company (the “Transaction Shares”).

    Immediately prior to closing the Transaction, the Company consolidated its common shares on the basis of one post-consolidation common share of the Company for every 1.5 pre-consolidation common share of the Company (the “Consolidation”).  Following the Consolidation and prior to closing the Transaction and Financing (as defined below), the Company had 25,373,977 post-Consolidation common shares issued and outstanding.  As a result of closing the Transaction and Financing, the Company now has 64,373,977 common shares issued and outstanding.

    On closing of the Transaction, the Company changed its name to “Hello Pal International Inc.”

    Directors, Officers and Stock Options

    As a result of closing of the Transaction, KL Wong became the Chief Executive Officer, President and a director of the Company.  Gunther Roehlig and Robert McMorran will continue to serve as directors of the Company and Natasha Tsai will continue to serve as Chief Financial Officer of the Company.  In conjunction with closing of the Transaction, Stephen Pearce resigned as a director of the Company.

    The Company also granted stock options to purchase 6,400,000 common shares of the Company to its directors, officers and consultants.  Each stock option is exercisable at a price of $0.15 per share and expires five years from the listing date.

    Escrow Shares

    A total of 13,725,000 post-Consolidation common shares will be subject to the escrow requirements set forth in National Policy 46-201 whereby 10% of the escrowed shares will be released on the initial listing date and 15% of the escrowed shares will be released each six month period thereafter.

    Obtains Conditional Acceptance to List on CSE

(“Neoteck”) (TSX-V: NEO.H) is pleased to announce that the Canadian Securities Exchange has conditionally accepted the listing of the common shares of Neoteck immediately following closing of its acquisition of the assets that comprise the Hello Pal Software application (the “HPI Platform”) in accordance with the terms of an asset purchase agreement dated February 29, 2016 with Hello Pal International Inc.  The details of the transaction are set forth in Neoteck’s news release issued on February 29, 2016.

    Increase to Proposed Financing

    Neoteck is also pleased to announce that it has increased its previously announced private placement financing from 8,333,334 post-consolidation common shares of Neoteck to 11,666,667 post-consolidation common shares of Neoteck at a price of $0.15 per post-consolidation common share of Neoteck for gross proceeds of $1,750,000 (the “Financing”).

    A portion of the Financing will be completed in accordance with the exemption set out in B.C. Instrument 45-536 – Exemptions from prospectus requirement for certain distributions through an investment dealer.  

    Assuming that the Financing is fully subscribed, Neoteck plans to allocate the gross proceeds of the Financing as follows: (i) $500,000 for enhancement of the HPI Platform, (ii) $200,000 for marketing and user acquisitions, (iii) $600,000 for general and administrative expenses, and (iv) $450,000 for working capital purposes.

(“Neoteck”) (TSX-V: NEO.H)is pleased to announce that it has entered into a letter of intent dated February 8, 2016 (the “Letter of Intent”) with Hello Pal International, Inc. (“HPI”) whereby Neoteck and HPI have agreed to negotiate and settle a definitive agreement (the “Definitive Agreement”) whereby Neoteck has agreed to acquire all of the assets that comprise of the Hello Pal software application (the “HPI Platform”) on the proposed terms and conditions of the Letter of Intent (the “Transaction”).

    Terms of Proposed Transaction

    Under the Letter of Intent, Neoteck and HPI propose to enter into the Definitive Agreement whereby Neoteck will acquire the HPI Platform. In consideration of the HPI Platform, Neoteck has agreed to issue 25,000,000 post-consolidation common shares of Neoteck to HPI on closing of the Transaction.

    Immediately prior to closing the Transaction, Neoteck will consolidate its common shares on the basis of one post-consolidation common share of Neoteck for every 1.5 pre-consolidation common share of Neoteck (the “Consolidation”). Neoteck currently has 38,060,966 common shares issued and outstanding. Following the Consolidation and prior to closing the Transaction and Financing (as defined below), the issued and outstanding post-Consolidation common share of Neoteck would be approximately 25,373,977.

    Neoteck plans to conduct a non-brokered private placement of 6,666,667 post-Consolidation common shares of Neoteck at a price of $0.15 per post-Consolidation common share of Neoteck for gross proceeds of $1,000,000 (the “Financing”). The proceeds of the Financing will be used to fund the operations of HPI Platform and for general working capital purposes. Subject to CSE approval, finder’s fees may be payable in connection with the Financing.

    On closing of the Transaction, Neoteck plans to change its name to “Hello Pal International Inc.” and the post-Consolidation common shares of Neoteck will be listed on the CSE under a new trading symbol.

    Neoteck and HPI are now in the process of drafting, settling and signing the Definitive Agreement on or before February 28, 2016, which Definitive Agreement will set out in full the terms of the Transaction. The Definitive Agreement will incorporate the terms of the Letter of Intent together with such additional representations, warranties, covenants, terms and conditions respecting the Transaction and all related matters as are usual and customary in transactions of a similar size and character.

    The Transaction will be subject to the conditions precedent that will be set out in the Definitive Agreement, including the following: (i) Neoteck listing its common shares on the CSE and de-listing its common shares from the TSXV, (ii) completion of the Financing, and (iii) completion of the Consolidation.

    On signing of the Definitive Agreement, Neoteck will issue a further press release to provide, among other things, selected financial information respecting HPI.

    Intention to De-List from the TSXV and to Seek Listing on the CSE

    Upon entering into the Definitive Agreement, Neoteck will apply to list its common shares on the CSE (the “Listing”). The Company is in the process of preparing to submit the requisite listing documents to the CSE, however, there is no assurance the CSE will provide conditional or final approval of Neoteck’s
    application to list its common shares on the CSE.

    Further, the Company will apply to delist its common shares from the TSXV and will de-list prior to completing the Transaction and the CSE listing (the “De-Listing”). The De-Listing is subject to the approval of the TSXV.

    The details of the Transaction will be set forth in the CSE Form 2A – Listing Statement, which will be submitted to the CSE (the “Listing Statement”). Upon submission of the final Listing Statement, the Company will seek to obtain approval of the majority of the shareholders of the Transaction prior to closing the Transaction and Listing.

    Directors and Officers following closing of the Transaction

    Upon completion of the Transaction, it is anticipated that the board of directors of Neoteck will comprise of three individuals. As of the date of this news release, the following persons are anticipated to be the directors and officers of Neoteck following completion of the Transaction:

    KL Wong –Chief Executive Officer, President and Director

    Mr. Wong founded and has served as Chief Executive Officer and Director of HPI since 2007. From 1995 to 1999, Mr. Wong was a lawyer at Clifford Chance in London, England where he specialized in Chinese law and technology/telecoms markets. Mr. Wong was a VP of Business Development at China.com (NASDAQ: CHINA) and Hongkong.com (HK: 8006) from 1999 through to 2001. He was the President of Softbank Investment (HK: 0648) from 2001 through to 2007 where he was involved mainly in technology-related projects throughout China. From 2008 to present, Mr. Wong is the founder and CEO of BrillKids – a firm specializing in early advanced childhood education.

    Gunther Roehlig – Director

    Mr. Roehlig has more than 15 years of experience in the financial and investment industry. In particular, Mr. Roehlig has experience in restructuring, managing and financing junior public companies.
