Ahhhh&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>And imagine the dilemma of an English student when he encounters words such as Worcestershire or that, while on holidays, he can\u2019t find his way to Leicester Square&#8230; I really hope he doesn\u2019t have to ask for directions!<\/p>\n<p>In Spanish, you will never encounter this type of problems as it is written the same way as it is pronounced, although English speakers might find the\u201drr\u201d hard to pronounce!!<\/p>\n<h2>How to Introduce Yourself to Your New Pal<\/h2>\n<p>You have downloaded the Hello Pal app, you have found a suitable new pal and now, you are just about to press the recording button&#8230; but, you have forgotten about the most important part!<\/p>\n<p><strong>How would you introduce yourself to your new friend?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There are several ways you can use to introduce yourself in Spanish, depending on the degree of formality you would like to use, and in Spain, we are very formal.<\/p>\n<p>We use usted if we are addressing a person who we don\u2019t know or an elderly person; however, with the younger generations, friends or family, we tend to be more informal and use t\u00fa.<\/p>\n<p>As I have mentioned in previous articles, usted and t\u00fa are the equivalent to the English \u201cyou\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Now, let\u2019s make a start!
